The Avon 1876 Cape Cod Glass Collection is in high demand from collectors. Avon Cape Cod Glass is no longer sold new, so finding some pieces can be difficult.
This is one of the most requested and prized Avon collections today.
The Avon 1876 Cape Cod Glass Collection drew its inspiration from the Roman Rosette classical pattern. The number “1876″ comes from the 100th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence being signed, and the 1876 Philadelphia Centennial.
The name “Cape Cod” for the collection is because many of the designs originated from the Boston & Sandwich Glass Works. This company started in 1825 at Cape Cod.

I have these dishes. My Mother and Grandmother collected them. My Grandmother was an Avon Lady for 30 yrs. I use them as my everyday dishes because they are to great to keep boxed up. I also use daily carnival glass dishes from my other Grandmother…also great dishes. I couldn’t ever sell these dishes because they have sentimental value, so I figure while I am here…I’m using them.

I have a full unused 8 place dinner setting of the dishes. In some cases duplicate items. For instance I have the wine goblets, the water goblets, the water glasses, the cups w/saucer and the mugs. The original small dessert bowl and then the new small bowl they cam out with.
