The Avon 1876 Cape Cod Glass Hostess Bell. Sometimes called the Avon Dinner Bell. This is a really interesting collectible not often seen with kitchen sets. A glass bell! Old fashioned yes tres chic. A dinner bell is a real conversation starter! Everyone has a plate, but do you have the bell? The bell is about 6-3/4 inches high and 3-1/4 inches wide.

At this time we are not sure if there are different varieties of hostess bells.

One version of the bell, on the inside, says “Christmas 1979″. If you have a picture let us know.
